8th October 2025 was a special day for the MENTOR consortium. That day took place a Scientific Kick-off meeting took place, during which all the doctoral candidates presented their respective projects in front of the Scientific Advisory Board members present at the meeting :

  • Prof. Elizabeth Henske (expert in genetics and TSC, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA)
  • Prof. Mike Hall (expert in mTOR who actually discovered the protein, Biozentrum, Basel)
  • Prof. Katarzyna Kotulska-Jóźwiak, expert in epileptic patient care (Department of Neurology and Epileptology, The Children’s Memorial Health Institute, Warszawa, Poland)
  • Dr. Carla Fladrowski, co-Chair of European Patient Advocacy Organisation (E-TSC, Oestrich-Winkel, Germany), and Mickaela Rozenberg, co-chair of E-TSC

Mario Pende, Network Coordinator, presented the MENTOR program and consortium, as well as the main events that will take place during the project’s duration.
