To maximize the visibility of the MENTOR project and ensure impact across all targeted audiences, a comprehensive communication strategy will be implemented. Doctoral Candidates (DCs) will play an active role in these activities, strengthening both their training and the reach of the project.
Our main communication activities include:
-
MENTOR Website – serving as the central hub for project updates, resources, and results.
-
Social Media Presence – regular posts to engage with the scientific community, industry, and the general public.
-
Newsletters – quarterly editions featuring project news, highlights, and special features for all target groups.
-
Press Releases – each DC will be encouraged to prepare one annual press release about their scientific achievements (publications, conferences, patents). Press releases will be distributed via services such as AlphaGalileo or EurekAlert, and through institutional communication channels. In addition, project-wide press releases will be issued at the project’s start, mid-term, and conclusion.
-
Scientific Publications – partners will publish results in leading journals, with an emphasis on open-access outlets to ensure broad visibility and accessibility of project outcomes.
-
Workshops and Career Events
MENTOR will organize a series of workshops and events to engage both scientific and public audiences:
-
Industry Workshops: 2 workshops focused on discussing pharmacological implementations.
-
Medical Care Workshops: 2 workshops dedicated to implementing patient care guidelines.
-
Student Engagement: 36 events across different countries to meet high school students and promote awareness of scientific careers.
-
Career Days: 36 events aimed at fostering career exploration in science and medicine.
-
Regulatory Round Tables: 3 meetings with regulatory bodies to discuss scientific and clinical developments.
Scientific Conferences
MENTOR partners will participate in leading international conferences, including Keystone Symposia, Cancer Metabolism, TOR de France, Cell Biology Association, Cancer Medicine, Epilepsy Conferences, Neuroscience Society, Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, and Nutrition conferences. A total of 54 attendances are planned to ensure active dissemination of results within the scientific community.
Other External Activities
To reach broader audiences, MENTOR will maintain a Wikipedia page summarizing the project’s achievements once results are published in high-impact journals. Additionally, two European MOOCs will be launched to train students on disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies. These activities are expected to reach up to 10,000 visitors.
Final Event
The MENTOR project will culminate in a final event in Paris, with 250 attendees including scientists, doctors, industry representatives, journalists, and policymakers. The event will showcase the project’s achievements through scientific presentations by MENTOR partners, reinforcing collaboration and knowledge exchange across sectors.
